Crave the Unexpected

ICA Boston was an incredible host for Dan Lam X Steve’s Ice Cream

Steve's Ice Cream creates thoughtfully crafts products inspired by art, travel, and global ingredients, guided by culinary experts. As part of Steve's relaunch, the team decided to give back to the artist community by providing an immersive and artful experience that encourages people to embrace creativity in their daily lives.

In collaboration with artist Dan Lam, we developed larger-than-life versions of her iconic sculptures for a summer-long event at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston.

Friday nights on the harbor were filled with dance, DJs, drinks, and opportunities for immersive art discovery. The ice cream-inspired sculptures were handcrafted and coated to withstand climbing and outdoor exposure by the bay. We utilized thermochromatic materials to enhance the interactive experience of the sculptures. Throughout the event, thousands of samples of Steve's ice cream were shared with guests, and everyone received a Dan Lam art as a takeaway.
